AscendTMS integrates SearchCarriers for free fraud detection

AscendTMS has integrated SearchCarriers' carrier intelligence database into its Carrier Verification and Qualification (CVQ) platform, enabling freight brokers and shippers to perform real-time carrier and broker verification without additional cost. This partnership combines AscendTMS' cloud-based transportation management software—used by over 69,000 companies across more than 20 countries—with SearchCarriers' continuously updated carrier and broker intelligence to combat freight fraud, double brokering, and unsafe carrier selection. The integration addresses a critical pain point for small and midsize transportation companies that lack the resources for enterprise-grade compliance platforms.

By embedding SearchCarriers' data directly into the TMS workflow, users can now verify carriers, evaluate brokers, and identify potential risks without leaving their primary system. The solution can serve as either a standalone verification tool or complement existing platforms like Highway, MyCarrierPortal, and Truckstop's RMIS. This development reflects a broader industry shift toward consolidating risk management and compliance functions within transportation management systems.
