Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship programs. The finalists, spanning four military branches (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force), bring extensive leadership and operational experience to trucking careers at major carriers including Werner Enterprises, Stevens Transport, Melton Truck Lines, and Patriot Group International. The grand prize consists of a fully equipped Kenworth T680 tractor valued significantly higher than the $10,000 runner-up award and $5,000 finalist prizes.

The heavy emphasis on registered apprenticeships within the finalist pool signals the growing strategic importance of structured training pathways in addressing persistent driver availability challenges.
